Denise Lovelady, Vice Chair

Denise Lovelady has over thirty years experience in Administration, Sales, and Marketing in Commercial and Residential Real Estate in the Baltimore/Washington Metro region and the Eastern Shore.

Mrs. Lovelady was the General Manager of a company specializing in commercial shared executive suites. She built the business from its inception and managed two successful locations in Rockville, MD, and Rosslyn, VA, before acquiring her Maryland Real Estate License. She transitioned to Residential Real Estate and specialized in the sale of homes, farms, historical properties, and luxury waterfront homes in the Annapolis and Eastern Shore areas. She is the owner and broker of record for Lovelady Real Estate based in Easton.

Her interest in politics began at an early age since many of her relatives were involved in Baltimore and Maryland politics. She is the granddaughter of a former member of the Maryland House of Delegates; her mother was on the staff of a Congressman and remained with him when he became the mayor of Baltimore; and her father was very active in Baltimore County politics as a member of various political organizations.

Before joining the Republican Central Committee of Talbot County (RCCTC), Mrs. Lovelady was an active member of the Mid Shore League of Republican Women. At the State level, she was recently elected the Eastern Regional Chair for the Maryland Federation of Republican Women. She is also a member of the National Federation of Republican Women. Mrs. Lovelady is a member of the Legislative Committee of the Mid Shore Board of Realtors. She worked closely with Kate Boland, former Chair of the RCCTC, on the Committee to Increase Voter Registrations in Talbot County and assisted with strategies for increasing Republican voter registrations. She worked diligently with the Central Committee in the 2008 campaigns, both for the McCain/Palin ticket and the Andy Harris for Congress campaign.

Other activities include breeding and showing Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers. Mrs. Lovelady is past president of the Maryland Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Association and a current member of the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of America. Her successful show career resulted in having two different Wheatens ranked #1 in the country in 1999 and in 2001.

She and her husband reside in Easton with their dog, Cruzer. They are active in the U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association (Eastern Shore Chapter), the Navy League (Eastern Shore Council), and the Republican Council (RC).

Jennifer Gomez, Vice Chair

"I love the Eastern Shore, and, knowing it's the reddest part of a blue state, made me love it even more," Jennifer has often said.

Jennifer and her family moved to Talbot County in 2008. Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Jennifer was involved with local and state politics. She campaigned for Bush/Cheney in 2000 and 2004. In 2002, she became a member of The Young Republicans of Bexar County and, the following year, was elected to the position of Secretary. Having been part of many campaigns and debates, Jennifer's hard work paid off when she was chosen to participate as a County and State Delegate for the Texas Republican State Party. Her involvement continued in 2008 with Talbot County Republican campaigns. She was involved with voter registration and getting out the vote for McCain/Palin and Andy Harris.

Jennifer is currently the Corresponding Secretary for The Mid-Shore League of Republican Women and is looking forward to a successful year with voter registration and working with the Republican Central Committee of Talbot County.

Susie Hayward

Susie was born and raised in Maryland and lived here most of her life. It is with great sadness and frustration that she witnessed the decline in this State's quality of living. It is time that common sense legislation is brought back to Maryland.

As a small business owner, Susie learned firsthand about the excessive and complex government regulations, taxes, and fees which hinder businesses from prospering. The Business climate in the state of Maryland is now (2011) rated 37th in the Nation and is included in the "5-year Biggest Losers" category. Susie believes that the health of a State is based on the ability of its businesses to flourish and create jobs. Changes must be made.

As a Homeowner and Realtor she has watched, with dismay, the State of Maryland increasingly take away the rights of landowners by imposing impractical and expensive regulations. She believes that Counties should have the last say in community design and growth.

Susie has owned several successful small businesses and was an industry association Vice President. In addition to sitting on the Republican Central Committee, she is currently a member of the Maryland Association of Realtors and is on its Commercial Alliance Committee and Legislative Committee. She is on the Board of Directors for the Mid Shore Board of Realtors and is the Chairperson of the Legislative Committee. She was appointed and currently serves on the Talbot County Economic Development Commission and is a member of the Talbot County Chamber of Commerce.

Susie is a long time resident of the Eastern Shore and currently resides in Cordova with her husband, Frank. She enjoys horseback riding and entertaining her six grandchildren.

Michael R. Andersen

Michael Richard Andersen got his start in politics in 1992, when he campaigned in middle school for George H W Bush. In high school, Michael formed a TeenAge Republican Club and was named the national TAR of the year. In college, Michael was actively involved in the College Republicans and helped form both a conservative newspaper as an alternative to the liberal campus paper, and formed a 501c3 to spread the conservative message.

Michael had taken a hiatus from political involvement for several years to focus on his family and his business. But the runaway spending in recent years and serious risk of a national bankruptcy have caused him to jump back in--but at the local level where change can often be accomplished more quickly than at the state or national level. He is committed to educating others about the problems our nation faces, and what free-market solutions can do to help address them.

Michael has lived in Talbot County since 2004, and on the Eastern Shore since the mid 1990s. He is a fee-based registered investment advisor, with offices in both Easton and Cambridge. His practice is focused on risk management and asset preservation.

He and his wife are parents to two wonderful children. The family are members of Shore Harvest Presbyterian Church.
